Best of 2016

Good morning guys and happy last day of 2016! Today I want to share with you the highlights of the year. Overall the year has been pretty rubbish, but I was lucky to have some very memorable moments and thought it would be a good idea to end the year on a grateful note. View Post

The New York Diaries #7

My seventh and last day in New York was spent exploring the Upper West Side – I had an idea of it being a really interesting part of town from the movie You’ve Got Mail which is mostly set there, and had been really excited to see it! First stop: breakfast at Sarabeth’s. The most delicious pancakes I have ever tasted, and such a nice, cosy restaurant. If you’re in the area, do check it out! Then it was off to Zabar’s, one of the most famous grocery stores in NYC – it is an institution as it’s been there… View Post

The New York Diaries #6

Walking along the Brooklyn Bridge and exploring Brooklyn/Williamsburg was the original plan for day 6 – but before I headed to the other side of the river, I made a quick stop for breakfast at Egg Shop, which was recommended in Kate’s post. I had the Benedict cruiser and it was the most delicious thing ever. Totally worth the visit! The experience of walking the Brooklyn Bridge was fantastic, it’s a beautiful piece of architecture and the view from the bridge back to Manhattan is incredible! I spent a lot of time in the Brooklyn Bridge Park just sitting down… View Post

The New York Diares #4

My fourth day in NYC was lovely and sunny, and so I walked to the Highline, and walked through it down to Chelsea and the Meatpacking District. The walk was great and the Highline is such an unusual, cool space! I then went to Chelsea Market, explored for a bit and had a delicious taco for lunch – the market is absolutely incredible, well worth a visit.  It was then time to head downtown to visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum – like a good part of the world I remember that day all too vividly and wanted to pay… View Post

The New York Diaries #2

My second day in New York was dedicated to the museums within the ‘Museum Mile’ on Fifth Avenue. But before I started exploring, I headed to UrbanSpace Vanderbilt, a very cool food market just behind Grand Central Station, to try out the incredible (and HUGE) donuts from Dough. Here are the photos from that day! View Post
