November brings with it the perfect weather to sit and watch something good on a big (or small) screen – and luckily there are some great things coming out this year! Here’s what I’m excited to watch
Movies
The Harder They Fall
An American Western starring Idris Elba and Regina King, where the characters are all based on real life African-American cowboys, lawmen and outlaws. It sounds amazing and I can’t wait to see it.
Marvel’s Eternals
The latest instalment in the MCU brings together a star-studded cast, an Oscar-winning director and what has everything to be a very cool story – so I’m most definitely looking forward to watching it!
The Beatles: Get Back
Peter Jackson’s taken footage of The Beatles recording their album Let it Be (originally meant to be called Get Back) and reworked it into a three part documentary. The trailer looks cheerful and nostalgic and as a longtime Beatle fan, I cannot wait to watch this.
TV Series
Glória
The first Portuguese production to be made for Netflix, Glória is set around the world of spies and intrigue of the Cold War era – which all converge in the very unlikely setting of Glória do Ribatejo, a small village in Portugal. The reason for that was the American complex RARET – a re-broadcasting office of Radio Free Europe, which used Portugal as a strategic location to transmit information to audiences behind the Iron Curtain. The series follows the spy games and dangerous manoeuvres between the CIA and KGB operatives to gain influence over Europe. The trailer looks so good and I’m excited to see a Portuguese production getting distributed so widely!
Hawkeye
Marvel meets Christmas – it’s the perfect combination for me! The trailer looks festive, action packed and so much fun, and I love Hailee Steinfeld and Jeremy Renner’s relationship already. I’m curious to see what the plot will be, and also to see if Florence Pugh’s Yelena actually makes a cameo!
Podcasts
Whistle Through the Shamrocks
Nicola Coughlan, aka Lady Whistledown of Bridgerton fame, co-wrote Whistle Through The Shamrocks with Camilla Whitehill. They then assembled a great cast, including JVN (Queer Eye) and Stephanie Beatriz (of B99 fame) for “a podcast about Ireland, love, murder and potatoes”. Sounds amazing, doesn’t it? It has been described by the Guardian as “a glorious comedy podcast” – and I cannot wait to listen!

Um filme passado no faroeste americano com Idris Elba e Regina King, onde os personagens são todos baseados em cowboys, bandidos e homens de lei afro-americanos que existiram na vida real. Parece incrível e mal posso esperar para ver.
Eternals
O último lançamento do MCU reúne um elenco de peso, uma realizadora premiada com um Oscar e tem de tudo para ser uma história muito gira – estou definitivamente ansiosa para ver!

Glória

Marvel misturado com Natal – é a combinação perfeita para mim! O trailer parece festivo, cheio de ação e muito divertido. Já fiquei fã do relacionamento de Hailee Steinfeld e Jeremy Renner, só pelo trailer. Estou curiosa para ver como será o enredo, e também para ver se Yelena (Florence Pugh) realmente faz uma aparição!
