2021 has been a feast of Marvel content with fantastic new series and movies coming out – and the best is yet to come.
The latest Marvel/Disney+ release is ‘What If…?’, an animated series that shows what could have happened in the MCU if one detail had been changed.
With two episodes released so far, here is why I think you should be watching this new show.
Visually Stunning
The art for these stories is fantastic – like a comic book come to life in the best possible way. The concept art is shown at the end of the episodes in the credits and it blew me away on both episodes so far – so detailed, so beautiful! It’s really incredible.
Familiar Voices
Although not all of the MCU actors returned to voice their characters, a lot of them did – and it’s fantastic to hear such incredible actors voice these original animated stories.
Above all else, of course, hearing Chadwick Boseman’s voice in his final performance as T’Challa will send chills down every MCU fan’s spine. I had tears in my eyes when I heard his voice!
Cool Stories
The stories of What If are not quite as intense and action packed as the movies – they are lighter, aimed at an animated series audience. BUT they are interesting and so lovely to watch! I loved seeing a new side to Peggy Carter in the first episode – and the second was a beautiful, lovely and such an appropriate way to say goodbye to both T’Challa and Chadwick Boseman.
And on top of being great to watch, ‘What If…?’ is a new step in the direction of the Multiverse which is a really exciting new route for the MCU. It’s exciting!

O mais recente projecto da Marvel / Disney + é ‘What If …?’, uma série de animação que mostra o que poderia ter acontecido no MCU se um detalhe tivesse sido alterado.
Com dois episódios já cá fora, aqui ficam as 3 razões pelas quais deviam estar a ver esta nova série.
Visualmente Impressionante
A arte nestas histórias é fantástica – como uma banda desenhada em movimento, da melhor maneira possível. A ‘concept art’ é mostrada no final dos episódios e surpreendeu-me nos dois episódios que já saíram – tão detalhada, tão bonita! É realmente incrível.
Vozes Familiares
Embora nem todos os actores do MCU tenham voltado para dar voz aos seus personagens, muitos voltaram – e é fantástico ouvir actores tão bons dar voz a essas histórias animadas que são tão originais.
Claro que acima de todas as outras, ouvir a voz de Chadwick Boseman na sua actuação final como T’Challa dá arrepios a qualquer fã do MCU. Eu fiquei de lágrimas nos olhos!
Óptimas Histórias
As histórias de ‘What If…?’ não são tão intensas e cheias de ação como os filmes – são mais leves, voltadas para o público de uma série de animação. MAS são interessantes e tão boas de ver! Adorei ver um novo lado da Peggy Carter no primeiro episódio – e o segundo foi uma despedida linda e apropriada tanto ao personagem T’Challa como a Chadwick Boseman.
Para além de ser boa de ver, ‘What If …?’ é um novo passo na direção do Multiverso – uma forma super entusiasmante de abrir caminho para o que aí vem!
