Is there anything better on a December weekend (or evening!) to sit under a cosy blanket, with a warm cup of tea or cocoa, watching a great Christmas movie? It’s one of my favourite things to do, and over the years I’ve gathered a few festive favourites (try saying that three times fast).

Home Alone & Home Alone 2 – The adventures of Kevin McAllister have been my favourite Holiday movies ever since I was a kid. In fact, I’ve been known to call Home Alone 2 my favourite movie ever – it makes me so happy whenever I watch it!
Sozinho em Casa & Sozinho em Casa 2 – Os filmes sobre as aventuras de Kevin McAllister são os meus preferidos desde sempre. Até vou mais longe e conto o Sozinho em Casa 2 como o meu favorito de sempre – deixa-me sempre tão feliz quando vejo!
Noelle – recently out on Disney+, Noelle is a beautiful tale of the true meaning of Christmas and the magic of Santa. The costumes are incredible and the characters are so funny! Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader bring the very natural comedy, Shirley MacLane brings the star power. This movie is just so joyful – my favourite this year!

While you were sleeping – this 90s classic is one I always come back to. It’s heartfelt, it’s sweet, it deals with the subject of loneliness so beautifully. I can quote it by heart as it was a favourite through my teens, but it never gets old.
Enquanto Dormias – um clássico dos anos 90 ao qual volto sempre. É um filme caloroso, doce, e lida com o tema da solidão de uma forma tão bem feita. Sei-o de cor porque era dos meus favoritos na adolescência, mas não me canso.
The Christmas Chronicles 1 & 2 – these movies are some of the best recent releases for the whole family. They’re really funny, have lots of cuteness in the mix, great and very sweet family stories. Plus they even have excellent musical numbers & of course the coolest Claus family. Instant classics.
As Crónicas de Natal 1 & 2 – estes filmes são dos melhores lançamentos dos últimos anos para toda a família. São super divertidos, têm muitos momentos fofinhos e histórias de família amorosas. E para além disso têm momentos musicais incríveis & a família Natal mais cool de sempre. Clássicos instantâneos.
Die Hard – Don’t fight me, Die Hard is a Christmas movie and a great one at that. Yippie-Ki-Yay.
Assalto ao Arranha-Céus – Não discutam comigo, o Assalto ao Arranha-Céus é um filme de Natal e é muito bom. Yippie-Ki-Yay.
Klaus – a beautiful animated film that is both unexpected and truly wonderful. The story is sweet, the characters are brilliant – and the animation is unparalleled.
