For me, the best part of the arrival of the Holidays is the joy of putting up the decorations. I love bringing out the pieces I’ve been collecting over the years and displaying them on the tree.
Para mim, a melhor parte da chegada das Festas é a alegria de decorar a casa. Adoro poder usar peças que tenho coleccionado ao longo dos anos e pô-las na árvore.
This year, because I’m lucky to be home already, I got to put up the tree and decorations with my parents for the first time in years – and to use the vintage decorations we’ve had since I was little!
Este ano, como tenho sorte de já estar em casa, pude fazer a árvore e decorar a casa com os meus pais pela primeira vez em muito tempo – e usar decorações que já temos desde que eu era pequena!
The tree is new – a fake one that we’ll hopefully get to use for years to come. I like how fluffy and actually pretty it looks – and how great it is for someone like me who doesn’t deal well with the scent of pine.
A árvore é nova – uma falsa que esperamos poder usar durante muitos anos. Gosto do seu ar cheio e até bonito – e como dá jeito para quem, como eu, não se dá bem com o cheiro de pinheiros verdadeiros.
I brought some of my favourite decorations from London and we used them along with some vintage decorations and some new ones we bought along with the trees and lights.
Trouxe algumas das minhas decorações preferidas de Londres e usámo-las em conjunto com decorações antigas e algumas novas que comprámos com a árvore e as luzes.
I particularly love the little terracotta pieces we found lost in a random box – they’re adorable with the red and white string!
Gosto especialmente das peças de barro que encontrámos numa caixa qualquer – ficam tão giras com a fita branca e vermelha!
I also decorated my room ever so slightly – I love the Christmas tree with tiny pine cones for decorations. Simple but oh so lovely!
Também pus algumas decorações no meu quarto – adoro a mini árvore com pinhas pequeninas como decoração. Tão simples mas tão giro!
