Sea & Sky – my new Antler luggage

British Luggage brand Antler, which has been around since 1914(!!) has recently launched a new luggage collection under the theme Sea & Sky.

A marca britânica Antler, produtora de malas de viagem desde 1914, acaba de lançar uma nova linha sob o tema Sea & Sky, ou Mar e Céu.

What do you think about when you hear the words Sea & Sky? My mind instantly goes to the stunning Portuguese Coast.

Em que é que pensam, quando ouvem as palavras Mar e Céu? A minha cabeça leva-me logo à Costa Portuguesa.

Miles and miles of sandy beaches, (freezing cold) water as far as the eye can see, and even some adorable colourful houses.

Longos quilómetros de praias, àgua (gelada) até perder de vista e até algumas casas coloridas super giras.

I love the seaside in the centre of Portugal – it’s where I grew up and where I feel more at home. From Figueira da Foz and it’s mile long sandy beaches, to Ílhavo with its gorgeous beach huts, I love it all!

Adoro o litoral do centro de Portugal – foi onde cresci e é onde me sinto mais em casa. Desde a Figueira da Foz e os seus enormes areais, a Ílhavo com as suas casas de praia tão giras, adoro tudo!

Antler’s new line is inspired by the coast, and I was lucky enough to receive it to give the suitcases a test. I knew straight away that I wanted to capture this line by the Portuguese sea.

A linha nova da Antler foi inspirada pelo litoral e eu tive a sorte de a receber para experimentar as malas. Soube logo que as queria fotografar ao pé do mar Português.

Camber by Antler

The Camber line uses crushed seashells (a by-product of the seafood industry) to give the cases their gorgeous pearlescent sheen. The line exists in sky blue or sea green – both glorious pastel colours.

A linha Camber usa conchas moídas (um subproduto da indústria do marisco) para dar às malas o seu lindo brilho perolado. A linha existe em azul céu ou verde mar – duas cores pastel lindas.

The pearly sea green of my suitcases is lovely – pastel tones just scream Summer, and always take me back to a warm beach.

O verde-mar perolado das minhas malas é lindo, tons pastel que lembram o Verão e me transportam logo para uma praia quente.

Style & Substance

The Camber line from Antler ticks all the boxes: not only is it practical, but it’s also stylish!

A linha Camber da Antler cumpre todos os requisitos: não só é prática, como também tem estilo!

The cases are sturdy and scuff-resistant, all sizes come with 4 spinner wheels to make it easier to transport (say through an airport) and, well…they’re just so pretty!

As malas são robustas e resistentes a arranhões, todos os tamanhos têm 4 rodas giratórias para ser mais fácil andar com elas (tipo num aeroporto) e…bem, são tão lindas!

I love that they have compartments inside for smaller items, such as notebooks, chargers and gear that I take with me whenever I travel.

Adoro que as malas tenham compartimentos dentro para objectos mais pequenos como blocos de notas, carregadores e equipamento que levo comigo sempre que viajo.

In a couple of weeks I’ll be travelling back to London – and I can’t wait to properly put these babies to the test then!

Daqui a duas semanas volto para Londres – e estou ansiosa por experimentar estas malas mais a sério!
