And here we are, at the end of 2019 and the end of a decade. It’s been interesting looking back over the past ten years, and all the unexpected directions life has taken me.
Cá estamos, no final de 2019 e desta década. Tem sido interessante pensar nos últimos dez anos e pensar em todas as direcções inesperadas em que a vida me levou.
This year in particular has been very positive in many ways, so I wanted to look back on the best moments.
Este ano em particular tem sido muito positivo de várias formas, por isso queria rever os melhores momentos.
Travel
Sevilla
I went to Sevilla for a very short weekend trip in February and it was one of my favourite trips to date. The city was sunny and warm, orange trees were full of fruit, the food was delicious and the sights just magical. I loved it so much that I’m going back in 2020!
Fui a Sevilha por um fim-de-semana muito curto em Fevereiro e foi das minhas viagens preferidas de sempre. Apanhei sol e temperaturas amenas, as laranjeiras estavam cheias de fruto, a comida era deliciosa e os monumentos simplesmente mágicos. Adorei de tal forma que vou voltar já em 2020!
Paris
My annual Spring trip to Paris happened a little later this year, at the end of May to be exact. I visited old favourites and new spots I’d been curious about. And I was lucky enough to meet up with the lovely Alexandra for breakfast at Buvette which was just delightful! I can never get tired of Paris!
A minha viagem anual a Paris aconteceu um pouco mais tarde este ano, mais especificamente no final de Maio. Visitei alguns dos meus locais preferidos e sítios novos que estava curiosa por conhecer. E tive a sorte de me encontrar com a Alexandra que é uma querida, para tomarmos o pequeno-almoço no Buvette, o que foi uma delícia! Não me canso de Paris!
Barcelona
At the end of June/beginning of July, my parents and I headed to Barcelona to celebrate Dad’s 70th birthday. Mum and I organised everything and surprised Dad with the plan a few weeks before, so he could have time to research where he wanted to go. It was one of the best trips I’ve ever taken! The weather was fantastic, the city is breathtaking and we tried the most amazing restaurants. I’m so lucky to get to take trips like this with my favourite people.
No fim de Junho/ínicio de Julho, os meus pais e eu fomos até Barcelona para comemorar os 70 anos do meu Pai. A minha Mãe e eu organizámos tudo e fizemos a surpresa ao meu Pai com o plano umas semanas antes da viagem, para ele ter tempo de ver onde queria ir. Foi uma das melhores viagens que fiz na vida! O tempo estava incrível, a cidade é maravilhosa e experimentámos restaurantes incríveis. Tenho tanta sorte de poder fazer estas viagens com as minhas pessoas preferidas.
Malmö & Copenhagen
At the end of September I visited Malmö and Copenhagen. It was the first time I travelled in collaboration with tourism boards and it was the most amazing experience. I loved visiting Malmö for the first time, it’s such a beautiful and cool city, with lots to explore. And it was amazing going back to Copenhagen and exploring new areas of this gorgeous city.
No final de Setembro visitei Malmö e Copenhaga. Foi a primeira vez que viajei em colaboração com postos de turismo e foi uma experiência incrível. Adorei ir a Malmö pela primeira vez, é uma cidade tão gira, com tanto para explorar. E foi óptimo voltar a Copenhaga e explorar zonas novas daquela cidade linda.
Concerts
Take That
Going to concerts you’re not expecting to go to has got to be the best thing ever. On the day I went back to work after my birthday trip home, I discovered work had an extra ticket for Take That at The O2 and I was ecstatic! They were my favourite pop band all through my teens, so getting to see them live again, unexpectedly, made me super happy.
Não há coisa melhor do que ir a concertos sem estar a contar. No dia em que voltei ao trabalho depois da minha viagem a casa pelos meus anos, descobri que o trabalho tinha um bilhete extra para um concerto dos Take That na O2 e fiquei super feliz! Eram a minha banda pop preferida na adolescência e vê-los de novo ao vivo, de forma tão inesperada, deixou-me tão contente.
Muse
After seeing Muse live at Rock in Rio Lisboa in 2018, I got tickets to see them again at London Stadium this year. I went to the concert with a work friend who is a massive fan of the band and it was such a fun concert!
Depois de ver os Muse no Rock in Rio Lisboa em 2018, comprei bilhetes para os voltar a ver este ano no London Stadium. Fui com uma amiga do trabalho que é super fã da banda e foi um concerto super divertido!
Spice Girls
When the Spice Girls announced their 2019 tour I knew I had to get tickets! I loved them all through my teens, and they were great sources of inspiration for what I wanted to be as I grew up. Even my dream moving to London started with them! The concert was perfect: fun, nostalgic, empowering. Couldn’t have asked for more.
Quando as Spice Girls anunciaram a tour de 2019, eu tive de comprar bilhete! Adorei-as ao longo da minha adolescência e foram grandes fontes de inspiração para a pessoa que queria ser enquanto crescia. Até o meu sonho de me mudar para Londres começou com elas! O concerto foi perfeito: divertido, nostálgico, motivador. Não podia ter pedido mais.

Photography
This year I started playing around with my photography a bit more, including practicing more flat lays. I love how creative I can be through this medium, and how sometimes the tiniest thing makes the most special shot. It’s been so fun to play around and create new things!
Este ano comecei a brincar mais com a minha fotografia, e até comecei a praticar os flat lays. Adoro descobrir a minha criatividade através das fotografias e descobrir como o mais pequeno detalhe torna uma fotografia especial. É tal divertido ir experimentando e criando coisas novas!
Writing
This year I have been more consistent in writing and putting blog posts out. My City Guides to Malmö and Copenhagen are two of the posts I’m most proud of, as they were my first collaborations and I’m really happy with how they came out.
Este ano tenho sido mais consistente a escrever e publicar posts no blog. Os meus Guias de Malmö e Copenhaga são dois dos posts dos quais tenho mais orgulho, como foram as minhas primeiras colaborações. Tenho imenso orgulho em como ficaram.

Health
This year I realised that my eating/exercising habits were not healthy and my body felt uncomfortable as a result – especially because my allergies started coming back. But I decided to get help, found a nutritionist, and am determined to learn and improve moving forward!
Este ano cheguei à conclusão que os meus hábitos alimentares e de exercício não estavam a ser saudáveis – e o meu corpo ressentiu-se disso, o que se notou especialmente com o regresso das minhas alergias. Decidi procurar ajuda, encontrei uma nutricionista e estou determinada a aprender e melhorar no futuro!
Friends
I have always been a bit of a loner, being an only child and used to spending time alone. However this year I am proud to say I have been more sociable and invested more time in the friendships that mean a lot to me. From weekends away, to concerts, to meals out and, especially, celebrating the happy moments in my friends’ lives, this year has been really great on the social front.
Sempre fui uma pessoa meio solitária, sendo filha única e estando habituada a passar tempo sozinha. No entanto este ano orgulho-me de poder dizer que fui mais sociável e que investi mais tempo nas amizades que têm mais valor para mim. Desde fins-de-semana fora, a concertos, a almoços e jantares e, especialmente, poder celebrar os momentos felizes na vida das minhas amigas, este ano tem sido óptimo no que toca à vida social!
