Daisy Jones & The Six
A book that truly transports you back to the 1970s and the world of rock bands. It reads like you’re watching a documentary – and you can almost hear the chords and beats of the music. It’s very evocative of Fleetwood Mac in their Rumours era and overall just a gripping read! I could not put it down and finished it in a day.
Este é um livro que nos transporta para os anos 70 e para o mundo das bandas de rock. Lê-se como se estivéssemos a ver um documentário – quase conseguimos ouvir as notas e batidas da música. Lembra muito os Fleetwood Mac na era do álbum Rumours e é no geral um livro viciante! Não consegui parar de ler e acabei num dia.
Forever, Interrupted
From Taylor Jenkins Reid, who also wrote Daisy Jones, comes this story of love and loss, of finding comfort and family where you least expect. It’s really interesting because it keeps flicking back from the present to the past, alternating between emotions – and it does it beautifully! I loved how unexpected the relationships were in this book, and how honest the connections were.
Este romance da autora Taylor Jenkins Reid, que também escreveu o Daisy Jones, é uma história de amor e de luto, de encontrar apoio e família onde menos se espera. É muito interessante porque vai alternando passado e presente, variando também as emoções – e fá-lo lindamente! Adorei as relações inesperadas e ligações honestas e realistas.
The Proposal
This is such a cool book! It’s an unexpected twist on a love story, but it’s so vivid and cool it almost feels like watching a movie. The characters are diverse, fun, and just as awkward as the rest of us – they have insecurities and concerns and friendships and families around them. Feeling all this makes the book more real, and really easy to read.
Este livro é tão engraçado! É uma história de amor com um twist, mas é tão vívida e gira que parece que estamos a ver um filme. Os personagens são diversificados, divertidos, e tão awkward como todos nós – têm inseguranças, preocupações, amizades e famílias. Sentir tudo isto torna o livro mais realista e super fácil de ler.
