In February, I was lucky enough to spend a very sunny weekend with my friend Matilde at the lovely Castle Hotel in Windsor.
Em Fevereiro, tive a sorte de passar um fim-de-semana soalheiro com a minha amiga Matilde no Castle Hotel em Windsor.

Windsor Castle
The first stop of our weekend was a visit to the beautiful Windsor Castle. It was a beautiful sunny day – making this a much more pleasant visit than my previous, when it was raining. A lot. We had bought tickets in advance so went right in to the security checks, and headed into the grounds of the Castle.
A primeira paragem do nosso fim-de-semana foi uma visita ao lindíssimo Castelo de Windsor. Estava um dia de sol lindo – o que tornou esta visita muito mais agradável do que a minha última, quando estava a chover. Muito. Tínhamos comprado bilhetes antes por isso passámos logo para a segurança e muito rapidamente fomos explorar o Castelo.
Though you can’t take photos of the incredible interiors, we had a great time exploring and taking exterior photos. The colours and details are so beautiful, and the views are breathtaking!
Embora não se possa tirar fotos das magníficas salas interiores, divertimo-nos imenso a explorar e a tirar fotos ao exterior. As cores e os detalhes são tão bonitos e a vista é incrível!
Eton
In the afternoon, we wandered to Eton to see the famous school that has been home to Princes William and Harry – and educated several of the UK’s Prime Ministers over time.
À tarde fomos até Eton para ver a famosa escola onde andaram os Príncipes William e Harry – bem como vários PMs do Reino Unido ao longo dos anos.
That side of the river has some cute streets and façades – and the college itself gives off serious Dead Poets Society vibes, which I loved. I need to go back in Autumn!
O lado do rio onde fica Eton tem ruas e fachadas engraçadas – e a escola em si dá muitos ares do filme O Clube dos Poetas Mortos, que eu adoro. Tenho de lá voltar no Outono!
Windsor Centre
We did some exploring of the town centre in the afternoon, with its old cobbled streets and charming shops!
Passámos algum tempo a explorar o centro da vila durante a tarde, com as ruas calcetadas e lojas adoráveis!
The room
We stayed in the John Chater suite, which had a living room with views of the main road, and a very beautiful, very comfy bedroom.
No Castle Hotel ficámos na suite John Chater, que tinha uma sala a dar para a rua principal e um quarto lindo e super confortável!
The colours were dreamy and everything was so cosy!
As cores eram lindas e era tudo tão aconchegante!
Dinner
We were also kindly invited for dinner at the Marco Pierre White restaurant within the hotel – not only is the space beautiful, but the food was delicious!
Fomos também convidadas para jantar no restaurante de Marco Pierre White no Hotel – que não só tem um espaço lindo, mas também comida deliciosa!
Breakfast in Bed
Well kind of – the next day we asked to have our breakfast delivered to our room. For this, we only had to fill a form the night before, saying what we wanted to have, between a range of hot and cold foods, and select the time. And the next day, there it was! And it was divine – best hash brown I’ve had, and it reminded me of how much I like those things!
Bom, mais ou menos – no dia seguinte pedimos o pequeno-almoço no quarto. Foi tão fácil – só tivemos de preencher um formulário na noite anterior a dizer o que queríamos, de um menu com várias opções quentes e frias, e escolher a hora. No dia seguinte, lá estava! E estava divinal – o melhor hash brown que já comi, que me lembrou o quanto gosto daquelas coisas!
Afternoon Tea
Before coming back to London, we also got to try the Inspired by Her Afternoon Tea. Served in the lovely and super cosy front room of the hotel, it had some delicious sandwiches and cakes – a real treat to close off our weekend!
Antes de voltarmos para Londres também tivemos a oportunidade de experimentar o Afternoon Tea Inspired by Her. Servido na sala da entrada do hotel, que é linda e super confortável, o chá tinha sandwiches e bolos deliciosos – um mimo delicioso para acabar o fim-de-semana em beleza!
