Since I started taking an interest in Fashion years ago, Christian Dior’s designs were always my favourites for how they celebrated and enhanced the female form. So when I discovered that the Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams exhibition was coming to London, I rushed to book a ticket. And let me tell you: it’s wonderful!
Desde que me comecei a interessar por Moda há uns anos, as criações de Christian Dior sempre foram os meus preferidos pela forma como celebravam e enalteciam a forma feminina (passo a repetição). Por isso, quando soube que a exposição Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams ia estar em Londres fui a correr comprar bilhete. Deixem que vos diga: é uma maravilha!
The exhibition starts by taking the visitors through Christian Dior’s journey to become a celebrated designer. For example, did you know he studied Political Science and then was a gallerist and illustrator for Le Figaro? Incredible!
A exposição começa por mostrar aos visitantes o percurso de Christian Dior até se tornar um designer célebre. Por exemplo, sabiam que estudou Ciência Política e depois se tornou galerista e ilustrador para o Figaro? Incrível!
It then follows his brand in the years following his untimely death. From the Yves Saint Laurent days to the current Maria Grazia Chiuri era – it’s fascinating to discover more about such a historic brand, and to see its beautiful creations.
A exposição continua depois a seguir a marca nos anos após a morte prematura do seu criador. Dos anos de Yves Saint Laurent até à actual época de Maria Grazia Chiuri – é fascinante descobrir mais sobre uma marca com tanta história e ver as suas lindíssimas criações.
