Hi everyone! We are days away from my favourite month of the year. Personally, I’m quite glad to see the back of this month – it’s been long, busy and often rainy. But among all those things, there have been some great moments and fun discoveries, so all in all I do think there is a lot to be thankful for still.
Bom dia a todos! Estamos a dias do meu mês preferido do ano. Por mim, já chega de Novembro – foi comprido, ocupado e muitas vezes chuvoso. Mas no meio disso tudo tive momentos óptimos e descobertas divertidas, por isso no geral acho que ainda há muito pelo qual estar grata.

Vamos começar…
Early morning photos
This month I took an idea from my friend Matilde and left the house super early on a few weekdays to take some photos. Until mornings started getting way too dark, of course. But it was such a great way to start the day! I felt like I was doing something for me – so it kind of felt like a form of self-care, even with getting ready and being out earlier. It also meant I got to work early which, aside from confusing my boss (sorry!), also meant I felt more motivated and productive. Win!
Este mês peguei na ideia da minha amiga Matilde e saí de casa super cedo alguns dias de semana para ir tirar fotografias. Isto até as manhãs começarem a ficar demasiado escuras, claro. Mas foi uma forma óptima de começar o dia! Senti que estava a fazer coisas por mim – por isso foi como uma forma de self-care, apesar de ter de me arranjar e sair mais cedo. Também levou a que chegasse mais cedo ao trabalho o que, para além de baralhar o chefe (desculpa!), me fez sentir mais motivada e produtiva. Ideia vencedora!
Sundays with friends
I’m usually quite the homebody on Sundays – mostly because I really dislike the feeling of coming home from a day out on a Sunday evening. That’s often when the Sunday scaries hit me the hardest. BUT this month I was lucky enough to have plans with my friends on two consecutive Sundays and they were the best! Whether it was meeting Rita for coffee, chats and wanders in Covent Garden; meeting Inês and João for lunch or going to the cinema with Diana – these Sundays were really amazing!
Normalmente sou mais de ficar em casa aos domingos – especialmente porque detesto a sensação de voltar a casa depois de um dia fora a um domingo ao fim da tarde. É normalmente a essa altura que a ansiedade de domingo me atinge com mais força. MAS este mês tive a sorte de ter planos com amigas ao domingo e foram óptimos! Desde me encontrar com a Rita para tomar café, por a conversa em dia e passear por Covent Garden; almoçar com a Inês e o João ou ir ao cinema com a Diana – estes domingos foram óptimos!
Christmas Lights Switch on in Covent Garden
Matilde invited me along with her for the switch on of the Covent Garden Christmas lights and it was wonderful! I have always loved Christmas and the lights have always had a certain magic for me – they always make me smile. I think the most special moment of the evening was hearing the Kingdom Choir singing Hark The Herald Angels Sing – so beautiful and moving.
A Matilde convidou-me para ir com ela à inauguração das Luzes de Natal de Covent Garden e foi uma maravilha! Sempre adorei o Natal e as iluminações sempre tiveram qualquer coisa de mágico para mim – fazem-me sempre sorrir. Acho que o momento mais especial da noite foi ouvir o Kingdom Choir cantar Hark The Herald Angels Sing – tão bonito e tão emocionante.

Elite
High School drama, romance, murder and some of the cast from La Casa de Papel? Count me in! It took me a while to finish this series but I really got into it – it’s so well made! Also can we talk about how cool Jaime Lorente is?
Drama de liceu, romance, homicídio e parte do elenco d’A Casa de Papel? Contem comigo! Demorei um bocado a acabar esta série, mas fiquei viciada – está tão bem feita! E, já agora, podemos falar da pinta do Jaime Lorente?

What a fun series! About a mum who gets an internship at the news show where her daughter works – this show has absurd moments, cute romance, and actually some pretty impressive digs at society. Oh and also, Nicole Richie being amazing. The episodes are short and easy to watch – I highly recommend it!
Que série divertida! Sobre uma mãe que arranja um estágio no programa de notícias onde trabalha a filha – esta série tem momentos absurdos, romance fofinho, e até umas indirectas bem impressionantes à sociedade no geral. Ah e a Nicole Richie a ser a maior. Os episódios são curtos e fáceis de ver – recomendo vivamente!

Christmas Inheritance
Netflix keeps throwing Christmas films at me and I…keep watching them, because let’s face it – I love a good Christmas film. This one is really cute: it has small town charm, the feeling of community, friendship, love…and snow. Really cute!
O Netflix não para de me recomendar filmes de Natal e eu…vejo-os todos porque, vamos admitir – adoro um bom filme de Natal. Este em especial é mesmo fofinho: o charme de uma pequena vila americana, o espírito de comunidade, amizade, romance…e neve. Mesmo giro!
Princess Switch
This film with Vanessa Hudgens (twice) is just as cheesy and fun as you’d expect it to be – not one to be taken (or take itself) seriously, but so fun to watch!
Este filme com a Vanessa Hudgens (duas vezes) é tão parvo e divertido como se espera que seja – não é para levar a sério (nem se leva a si mesmo a sério), mas tão divertido de ver!
Bohemian Rhapsody
I wasn’t sure what to expect of this film, and resisted watching it for a while – but it turned out to be a great watch. Rami Malek does an incredible job as Freddie Mercury and it’s so interesting to know more about such an iconic band!
Não sabia bem o que esperar deste filme e resisti a vê-lo durante um bom bocado de tempo – mas acabou por ser muito bom. Rami Malek faz um papelão como Freddie Mercury e é tão interessante saber mais sobre uma banda tão marcante!
