Hey guys! Today’s post is, in typical end-of-month tradition, my July Favourites – and this month has been a good one, so I’m excited to share!
Olá a todos! O post de hoje é, como é costume no final do mês, sobre os meus Favoritos de Julho – e este mês foi óptimo, por isso estou entusiasmada por partilhar convosco!

Brunches and photo walks
I was super lucky this month to get to make several weekend plans with my Portuguese girl friends that I met through Instagram. They (of course) involved brunches and wanders to take photos – and I LOVED it! It’s so much fun to catch up with the ladies and try new places for brunch, while talking about the photos we loved to take, or developments in our lives in general – seriously my favourite thing recently.
Este mês tive imensa sorte de combinar várias coisas aos fim-de-semana com as minhas amigas Portuguesas que conheci graças ao Instagram. Claro que as combinações incluíram brunches e passeios para tirar fotos – e eu ADOREI! É tão divertido por a conversa em dia com elas e experimentar novos sítios para tomar brunch, enquanto falamos sobre fotografias que adoramos tirar ou novidades nas nossas vidas no geral – mesmo a melhor coisa dos últimos tempos.

Cousin’s 30th!
My fav little cousin M turned 30 and had a barbecue at hers to celebrate – it was the best! The food, grilled by her boyfriend and his brother, was divine, everyone was in a really good mood (helped by the slightly cooler weather, finally) and it was just so much fun to chat to M’s friends and catch up with her too (as well as her sister T and her husband M). Just amazing!
A minha priminha preferida, M, fez 30 anos e fez um barbecue em casa para celebrar – foi excelente! A comida, grelhada pelo namorado dela e o irmão, estava divinal, toda a gente estava super bem disposta (com uma ajuda do tempo que estava finalmente mais fresco) e foi tão divertido falar com os amigos e amigas da M e por a conversa em dia com ela (e com a irmã T e o cunhado M). Espectacular!

Getting Shared by awesome accounts
This photo that I took while in Lisbon for the Rock in Rio festival got shared by both Wes Anderson Planet and by Nuno Markl – a Portuguese comedian who is my absolute favourite for his love of all things 80s and nerdy (which I share). My friend R texted me to let me know and I was ecstatic to find out my photo was getting so much love!
Esta foto que tirei quando estive em Lisboa para o Rock in Rio foi partilhado pela conta Wes Anderson Planet e também pelo Nuno Markl – o meu comediante português preferido porque também adora tudo o que é 80s e nerdy (como eu). A minha amiga R mandou-me mensagem para chamar a minha atenção e eu fiquei felicíssima de ver que a minha foto estava a receber tantos elogios!
Hitting the 2k follower mark
A little later in the month and my little account went over 2000 followers which was incredible!! I love my Instagram account and work hard to share beautiful photos there – along with bits of my daily life – so it’s great to know so many people follow along!
Um pouco mais perto do fim do mês e a minha conta passou os 2000 seguidores, o que foi incrível!! Adoro a minha conta no Instagram e esforço-me muito para partilhar por lá fotografias bonitas – acompanhadas de bocadinhos do meu dia-a-dia – por isso é óptimo saber que tanta gente segue comigo!

Queer Eye on Netflix
I resisted the bandwagon for a while because everyone kept saying how emotional it made them, and I wasn’t quite ready for that. But I started watching it and truly, Queer Eye feels like a hug in the shape of a TV show. It’s wonderful and funny and so good to watch! I got through both seasons in less than a week…
Resisti ceder à pressão durante uns tempos porque toda a gente dizia que puxava pela emoção e eu não estava preparada para isso. Mas comecei a ver na semana passada e a sério, o Queer Eye é como um abraço em forma de série de TV. É maravilhoso e engraçado e tão bom de ver! Vi as duas temporadas em menos de uma semana…
Mamma Mia: Here We Go Again
This was the moment I’d been waiting for, over the past 10 years. I needed more ABBA movie magic (who didn’t!) and the second movie did not disappoint. It is funny, it is emotional and it is just perfectly silly – a perfect Summer movie! And yes – I have been blasting out the ABBA songs on Spotify since…!
Este era o momento por que eu esperava há 10 anos. Precisava de mais magia dos ABBA no cinema (quem não precisa!) e o segundo filme não desiludiu. É divertido, é emotivo e perfeitamente tolo – um filme de Verão perfeito! E sim, tenho estado a ouvir as músicas dos ABBA no Spotify desde que saí do cinema…!
