Olá a todos! Espero que estejam bem e a ter um óptimo Halloween 😊 No post de hoje vou recordar os meus momentos e as minhas coisas preferidas do mês de Outubro. Estou entusiasmada porque foi um óptimo mês!
Besties weekend
Mid-October I went to spend a few days in Portugal, the first of which were spent with my two best friends. We chatted, watched movies, did several carpool karaoke songs and laughed until it hurt. I’ve had some of the best times of my life with these girls and I am forever grateful for their friendship. Cannot wait for Christmas get togethers!
Em meados de Outubro fui passar uns dias a Portugal, os primeiros dos quais foram passados com as minhas duas melhores amigas. Conversámos, vimos filmes, fizemos várias versões de carpool karaoke e rimo-nos até doer. Alguns dos melhores momentos da minha vida foram passados com estas miúdas, e estou eternamente grata pela amizade delas. Mal posso esperar pelos encontros de Natal!
“Brunch” with the Parents
After an extremely early flight to Lisbon, I was very hungry so decided to convince my parents to come for brunch at my favourite, Heim Café. They’re not big on brunch so they had coffee while I had yoghurt with granola and a fruit bowl – all of it delicious! It was fun to chat to mum and dad at while having coffee and enjoying one of the coolest spaces in Lisbon!
Depois de um voo super cedo para Lisboa, estava cheia de fome então decidi convencer os meus pais a vir tomar brunch no meu café preferido, o Heim. Os meus pais não adoram brunch por isso tomaram café enquanto eu comi um iogurte com granola e uma taça de fruta – tudo delicioso! Foi divertido conversar com os meus pais enquanto tomávamos café e apreciávamos um dos melhores espaços em Lisboa!
Metallica
I wrote a whole post about how much I loved the Metallica gig, but it had to be mentioned in my favourites post too. The set up was incredible, they played brilliantly and the whole experience was a dream. There’s a reason why so many people still love them – Metallica Rock!
Escrevi todo um post sobre como adorei o concerto dos Metallica, mas também tem de ser mencionado nos favoritos. O palco estava incrível, eles tocaram de forma brilhante e toda a experiência foi de sonho. Há uma razão para tanta gente ainda os adorar – os Metallica são os maiores!
Foo Fighters tour announcement and tickets
Another of my favourite bands, the Foo Fighters, announced a UK tour for June 2018 and I was beyond excited for this! I was ready with multiple browsers and devices when the tickets went on sale and got one, which was lucky considering they sold out in no time! Bring on June!!
Os Foo Fighters, outra das minhas bandas preferidas, anunciaram este mês uma digressão no Reino Unido para Junho de 2018 e eu fiquei super entusiasmada! Estava pronta com vários browsers e dispositivos quando os bilhetes foram postos à venda e consegui um, o que foi uma sorte tendo em conta que esgotaram em três tempos! Que venha Junho!!
Turtles all the way down
I was so excited to pick up John Green’s latest book, having loved all the ones I’d read before. I was thrilled that the main character was a girl with mental health issues – it is so important to talk about what people go through, what triggers them, how they try to deal with things. But the story is also about much more than that. The characters are brilliant, the story is both moving and funny, it’s got it all. Finished it last night and I already want more!
Estava ansiosa por começar novo livro do John Green, já que tinha adorado todos os livros dele que já tinha lido. Fiquei feliz por ver que a personagem principal era uma rapariga com problemas de saúde mental – é tão importante falar sobre aquilo pelo que as pessoas passam, o que despoleta esses sentimentos, como tentam lidar com eles. Mas a história é sobre muito mais que isso. Os personagens são óptimos, a história é comovente e cómica, tem tudo. Acabei ontem à noite e já quero mais!
Stranger Things 2
I thought the day when we got to see Stranger Things 2 would never come. Of course, I jumped straight into it when it dropped on Netflix last Friday! I am only halfway through season 2 and in some ways (certain character arches) make me think it’s better than the first, while others have left me slightly disappointed. I’m loving watching it though, the writing is great and the acting is impressive!
Pensei que nunca mais chegaria o dia em que saía o Stranger Things 2. Claro que comecei logo a ver quando chegou ao Netflix na sexta-feira passada! Só vou a meio da segunda temporada e de certa forma (no desenvolvimento de alguns personagens) acho que é melhor que a primeira, enquanto outras me deixam ligeiramente desiludida. Mas tenho adorado ver, está tão bem escrito e os actores são óptimos!
