As much as I am trying to veer into the world of natural beauty, I am still curious about brands that are getting hyped up in the beauty world. Especially when all the packaging is minimalistic, there is a touch of millenial pink, and all the bloggers I follow rave about it. And that, in a nutshell, is Glossier.
Por muito que esteja a tentar virar-me para o mundo dos produtos de beleza naturais, continuo a ter curiosidade em relação a marcas que estejam a dar que falar. Especialmente quando as embalagens são minimalistas, há um toque de cor-de-rosa e todas as bloggers que eu sigo dizem maravilhas delas. E isso, em resumo, é a Glossier.
When I quickly went on Twitter last Friday, which I have been trying to avoid as part of my social media black out I mentioned here, I saw Anna had posted something about Glossier being in London. I’ve been curious about their products for years, so I knew I had to go.
Quando dei um saltinho ao Twitter na sexta-feira passada, coisa que tenho evitado fazer como parte do meu bloqueio às redes sociais; vi que a Anna tinha partilhado qualquer coisa sobre a Glossier estar em Londres. Há anos que tenho curiosidade sobre os produtos deles, por isso sabia que tinha de ir.
I got to the line, which was quite long, just as the London weather started to show its true colours – it rained heavily just until we got inside!!
Cheguei à fila, que era bem grande, mesmo quando o tempo Londrino deu ares da sua verdadeira graça – choveu a potes até entrarmos!
Once inside, I was amazed by the decoration: what is usually an empty studio space had been converted to a beautiful, pink, flowery beauty heaven. Loads of happy ladies were finally testing products they’d heard about for ages, like myself – it was a really positive environment, everyone sharing the excitement!
Uma vez lá dentro, fiquei fascinada com a decoração: o que é normalmente um estúdio vazio, foi convertido num paraíso da beleza, lindo, cor-de-rosa e cheio de flores. Lá dentro, imensa gente felicíssima por testar finalmente os produtos sobre os quais ouviam falar há séculos, tal como eu – um ambiente mesmo positivo, com toda a gente a partilhar o entusiasmo!
I went around trying all the different bits I’d been dying to try. The boy brow is out of this world amazing – my brows looked so much thicker! The concealer was insane – my under Eye area looked lighter, brighter, like I’d just woken up from a loooong beauty sleep! And then the generation g lipstick. It was love! The shade Crush caught my eye and when I tried it on I knew I had to have it. It’s the perfect shade of pinky red and I looove it!
Dei umas voltas e experimentei os produtos que estava ansiosa por testar. O boy brow é fantástico – as minhas sobrancelhas pareceram logo tão mais cheias! O corrector é de doidos – a zona dos meus olhos ficou mais clara, luminosa, parecia que tinha acordado de um sono de beleza beeeem longo! E depois experimentei o batom generation g. Amor à primeira vista! O tom Crush chamou a minha atenção e quando experimentei vi logo que vou ter de o comprar. É o tom perfeito de vermelho rosado e adooooro!
The pink room was an absolute dream – velvet sofas and chairs, beautiful lamps and flowers, with the signature Glossier photos on the wall. I could’ve stayed there basking in the pink-ness of it all for the whole afternoon.
A sala cor-de-rosa estava um sonho – sofás e cadeiras de veludo, candeeiros e flores lindas, com as fotografias típicas da Glossier na parede. Podia ter ficado lá a absorver aquele mundo cor-de-rosa a tarde inteira.
Heading downstairs I even got to say hello to the creator of this phenomenon, the uber cool Emily Weiss, who was beyond lovely and super stylish as ever! I was thrilled that I got to thank her for bringing the brand to life, and to London!

I loved getting a glimpse of the beautiful pink world of Glossier and cannot wait to try some products when they (finally) come to the UK in Autumn!
Adorei poder espreitar o mundo rosa e maravilhoso da Glossier e mal posso esperar por experimentar mais produtos quando eles vierem (finalmente) para o Reino Unido no Outono!
