June Plans

Hi everyone! Today’s post comes at you a little late, but it is a quick look at the plans I have for the new month. June is going to be a quieter one for me, with no travel or big events planned, but I am rather excited about it!

Olá a todos! O post de hoje chega-vos mais tarde do que é habitual, mas é um pequeno olhar sobre os meus planos para este novo mês. Junho vai ser mais sossegado para mim, sem viagens ou eventos de maior planeados, mas a ideia agrada-me!

#1 Cinema

Firstly, we have the new Wonder Woman film coming out – I am more than ready to see a badass female superhero take over the screens! Plus Gal Gadot is massive girl-crush material, wouldn’t you agree?

Primeiro, temos o novo filme Wonder Woman a sair esta semana – estou mais que pronta para ver uma super-heroína poderosa no grande ecran! E depois a Gal Gadot é mesmo uma perfeita girl-crush, não concordam?

Then next week the new version of The Mummy, starring Tom Cruise, Jake Johnson and the gorgeous Annabelle Wallis (who grew up in Portugal!) is coming out and I am actually rather excited about it. I am all up for an entertaining film nowadays, fun, with a good dose of escapism, and easy to watch – and this is what I hope The Mummy will bring.

Depois na próxima semana sai a nova versão do filme A Múmia, com o Tom Cruise, o Jake Johnson e a lindíssima Annabelle Wallis (que cresceu em Portugal!) e eu estou com alguma curiosidade de ver. Neste momento só quero filmes que sejam bom entretenimento, divertidos, fáceis de ver e que tenham uma boa dose de evasão – e isso é tudo o que eu espero que A Múmia seja.

Closer to the end of the month Edgar Wright’s new film hits theatres. It’s called Baby Driver (incidentally the name of one of my favourite Simon & Garfunkel songs), has an all-star cast and a bloody good trailer.

Mais para o fim do mês chega aos cinemas o novo filme de Edgar Wright. Chama-se Baby Driver (que por acaso também é o nome de uma das minhas canções preferidas dos Simon & Garfunkel), tem um elenco de estrelas e um trailer espectacular.

#2 Day trips

With the weather getting a bit nicer, I am looking forward to taking some weekend day trips over to the seaside – there’s still so much I don’t know and it’s always good to have a change of scenery. Olivia’s latest post on Broadstairs left me raring to get on a train and breathe some sea air – might just do it this weekend coming!

Com o tempo a melhorar, estou com vontade de ir passar uns dias ao pé do mar – há tanto que ainda não conheço e é sempre tão bom mudar de ares. O último post da Olivia sobre o passeio dela a Broadstairs deixou-me cheia de vontade de me por num comboio e ir respirar o ar do mar – talvez já faça isso neste fim-de-semana!

#3 Museums and Exhibitions

There are two exhibitions I’d really like to see currently at the V&A Museum. The first is Pink Floyd: Their Mortal Instruments – I’m excited to learn more about one of the most iconic bands in the world.

Há duas exposições que adorava ver no V&A. A primeira é a Pink Floyd: Their Mortal Instruments – quero imenso aprender mais sobre uma das bandas mais icónicas do mundo.

And then the second is Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion – I love learning how famous couture houses and their founders’ vision changed the world of fashion, and this exhibition about Cristobal Balenciaga, the Spanish designer, looks terrific.

A segunda é a Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion – adoro descobrir como as casas de alta costura famosas e os seus criadores visionários mudaram o mundo da moda e esta exposição sobre Cristobal Balenciaga, o designer Espanhol, parece fantástica.
