#1 Big Little Lies
I finally finished watching this mini-series with a phenomenal cast this week – and all I want to do now is a) watch again and b) buy the book.
Finalmente acabei de ver esta mini-série com um elenco fenomenal – e tudo o que quero fazer é a) ver outra vez e b) comprar o livro.
The series is incredible, with beautiful cinematography and a soundtrack that is to die for. The performances are amazing and the story is really compelling. I could not recommend it enough.
A série é incrível, com uma fotografia e uma banda-sonora de cair para o lado. As actuações são fantásticas e a história é irresistível. Não podia recomendar mais!
#2 Lea Michele’s Places
I’ve been a fan of Lea Michele since her Glee days. She always struck me not just as a talented, ambitious woman, but someone who was incredibly strong and true to herself. I admired that and still do.
Desde os seus tempos na série Glee que sou fã da Lea Michele. Sempre me pareceu não só uma mulher talentosa e ambiciosa mas também alguém que era incrivelmente forte e fiel a si mesma.
In her new album she has gone back to the power ballad roots that made her a hit on Glee, and wow is that good! The songs suit her beautifully and somehow transmit some sort of motivation and strength to those listening – or at least they do to me! So far my favourite is Believer – I love the beat, and the lyrics definitely gave me a boost of energy!
No seu novo álbum voltou às raízes de power ballads que a tornaram um êxito na série Glee e isso é óptimo! As canções são ideais para ela e de alguma forma transmitem motivação e força a quem ouve – ou pelo menos transmitiram-no a mim! Até agora, a minha favorita é Believer – adoro o ritmo e a letra dá-me definitivamente um impulso de energia!
#3 Roman Forum
A week ago today my parents and I were in Rome visiting the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. I’ve said it before but this was one of the best experiences of my life. It is incredible that this still exists to give us a glimpse of what life in the Roman Empire was like.
Há uma semana, os meus pais e eu estávamos em Roma a visitar o Coliseu e o Fórum Romano. Já disse isto antes mas foi uma das melhores experiências da minha vida. É incrível que isto ainda exista para nos dar uma ideia de como era a vida no Império Romano.
This was the beginning of so many of the societies and cultures we have in Europe in the present day, and it’s truly breathtaking to see where they all came from. Seriously worth a visit!
Isto foi o começo de tantas das sociedades e culturas que actualmente temos na Europa e é de cortar a respiração ver de onde elas vieram. Vale mesmo a pena visitar!
