Today marks the start of a new series of posts here in AlfacinhaStories! Every Saturday I want to bring you a quick snippet of my week, from events I attend to things I buy, including things I watch and/or read.
Hoje marca o início de uma nova série de posts aqui no AlfacinhaStories! Todos os sábados quero trazer-vos um pequeno recorte da minha semana, de coisas que faça a coisas que compre, incluindo coisas que veja e/ou leia.
#1 I am currently reading and loving three very different books. A romance novel, ‘La femme au carnet rouge’ by Antoine Laurain, a cosy and easy romance set in Paris; a style book, ‘The New Garçonne’ by Navaz Batliwalla of the blog Disneyrollergirl, that discusses the ideas of style of super cool women such as Bella Freud and Lyn Harris; and finally ‘The life changing magic of not giving a f**k’ by Sarah Knight, a good humoured book with really useful tips!
#1 Actualmente estou a ler e a adorar três livros bem diferentes. Um romance fácil de ler e passado em Paris, ‘La femme au carnet rouge’ de Antoine Laurain; um livro sobre estilo, ‘The New Garçonne’ de Navaz Batliwalla do blog Disneyrollergirl, que fala sobre a ideia de estilo de mulheres espectaculares como Bella Freud e Lyn Harris; e finalmente ‘The life changing magic of not giving a f**k’ de Sarah Knight, um livro bem humorado com dicas bem úteis!
#2 This week I received my latest Sephora order! I place one every few months to get a supply of LaVanila deodorant: my skin tends to react to traditional deodorants so I have to stick to aluminium-free ones, and these are the only I’ve found actually work for me. But, as it’s not worth ordering for just one thing, I always add a couple of exciting bits…I’m cooking up a new beauty favourites post, I’m sure some (if not all) of these will be in there!
#2 Esta semana recebi a minha mais recente encomenda da Sephora! Faço uma encomenda a cada 4 ou 5 meses para abastecer de desodorizante da marca LaVanila: a minha pele reage a desodorizantes tradicionais, então tenho de os usar sem alumínio, e os desta marca são os únicos que funcionam comigo. Já que mando vir uma encomenda aproveito sempre para mandar vir umas outras coisitas mais emocionantes…estou a preparar um post sobre os produtos de beleza e maquilhagem que prefiro e acho que alguns (se não todos) estes lá vão estar!
#3 My Nicole Vienna watch, that I got for my birthday and absolutely adore, had gotten placed in my box of watches after I sprayed it with a Byredo perfume that made my head pound and would not come off. But recently I’ve been wearing it more again and I must say it’s one of the best watch purchases I’ve made!
#3 O meu relógio da Nicole Vienna, que recebi nos anos e adoro, tinha sido arrumado na caixa dos relógios há uns tempos quando lhe pus um perfume da Byredo (de um tester) que me deu imensas dores de cabeça e não queria sair. Mas ultimamente tenho-o usado mais e devo dizer que é das melhores compras que fiz!
