The Christmas Playlist 2016

Good morning guys! Today I’m getting ready and very excited for our Christmas Party at work, which is always epic. In the spirit of the day, I thought I’d share with you the 2016 edition of my Christmas Playlist.

Bom dia! Hoje estou-me a preparar e a ficar mesmo ansiosa pela nossa festa de Natal no escritório, que é sempre memorável. No espírito do dia, pensei que seria boa ideia partilhar convosco a edição de 2016 da minha Playlist de Natal.

Aside from the classics such as Bing Crosby’s White Christmas or The Pogues’ Fairytale of New York, I always add my favourite Portuguese carols, which I’ve known forever and still make me really happy: A Todos um Bom Natal, Sino de Belém and Natal de Elvas are must-haves on Christmas playlists for a nostalgic boost!
Para além de clássicos como White Christmas de Bing Crosby ou Fairytale of New York dos Pogues, ponho sempre as minhas canções de Natal portuguesas preferidas, que conheço desde sempre e ainda me deixam feliz: A Todos um Bom Natal, Sino de Belém e Natal de Elvas são essenciais em playlists de Natal para um momento de nostalgia!

If you’re looking for a bit of 80s with your Christmas music, I really recommend hitting up YouTube and searching for Disney’s A Very Merry Christmas. It’s a singalong video Disney made in 1988 with all the best songs and beautiful Disney videos to go with it. My godfather bought me this video when I was still very little, and it’s been my favourite Christmas thing ever since – I have very fond memories of family moments singing along to it.

Se quiserem um bocadinho de anos 80 com a vossa música de Natal, recomendo vivamente procurarem por Disney’s A Very Merry Christmas no YouTube. É um vídeo tipo karaoke que a Disney lançou por volta de 1988 com as melhores canções de Natal e vídeos lindos da Disney para as acompanhar. O meu padrinho comprou-me este vídeo quando eu era ainda muito pequena e desde então tem sido uma das minhas coisas preferidas no Natal – tenho óptimas memórias de momentos em família a cantarolar estas músicas.

Finally for the ultimate, really comprehensive playlist, check out Daphne’s from the blog Mode and The City. I’ve mentioned Daphne here before, but it’s probably during Christmas time that I love her blog the most: she does the most amazing decorations and Christmas related posts, and the playlist is no exception!

Finalmente para a Playlist melhor e mais completa, vejam a da Daphne do blog Mode and The City. Já aqui falei da Daphne mas é na altura do Natal que eu mais gosto do blog dela: ela faz decorações e posts relacionados com o Natal completamente maravilhosos e a Playlist não é excepção!
