Winter staples

I’d like to avoid quoting GoT, but there’s no helping it: winter is coming. And I’d rather to get through it warm, and preferably in style. So I took to my favourite brand’s website and ordered a few things that have fast become staples for this cold weather season: the low Harper boots, the grey Irish scarf and the Ringo coat.

Adorava poder evitar citar a Guerra dos Tronos, mas não dá: o inverno está a chegar. E já agora gostava de o poder passar quente e, de preferência, com estilo. Por isso fui visitar o site da minha marca preferida e encomendei algumas coisas que já se tornaram peças obrigatórias para esta temporada fria: as botas Harper baixas, o cachecol Irish em cinzento e o casaco Ringo.

The boots are beautifully made and so comfortable! I usually go for ankle boots with a little heel, but with my recent back injury, flat shoes have become a necessity. These are flat, but still really elegant. I love wearing them with jeans but they go beautifully with a skirt or a dress too. The leather is of excellent quality. The boots just need a non-slip sole, a good layer of waterproof spray and they’re good to go! 

As botas são super bem feitas e tão confortáveis! Normalmente compro botas pelo tornozelo com um bocadinho de salto, mas com a minha recente lesão nas costas, sapatos rasos tornaram-se numa necessidade. Estas são rasas, mas ainda assim são elegantes. Adoro usá-las com calças de ganga, mas também ficam lindamente com uma saia ou um vestido. A pele é de excelente qualidade. As botas só precisam de uma sola anti-derrapante e uma boa camada de spray à prova de água e estão prontas a usar!

The scarf is a classic one. Really cosy, warm and colourful, it goes with everything! It is shorter than my usual scarves, so when I wrap it around my neck it gets really snuggly and warm. Excellent for chillier days!

O cachecol é muito clássico. Muito aconchegante, quente e colorido, combina com tudo! É mais curto do que os meus outros cachecóis, então quando o ponho à volta do pescoço fica bem apertado e quente. Óptimo para dias mais frios!

And then there’s the Ringo coat. I was in awe of it as soon as it came out in the original fall collection. The shape is beautiful, the colour and the pattern are great, and it is super warm and cosy! It’s a great winter coat. The fact that it’s grey means it’ll go with everything without clashing, without being a heavy, depressing black coat. I love it!

E depois há o casaco Ringo. Fiquei caída de amores por este sobretudo desde que saiu na colecção de Outono original. O corte é lindo, a cor e o padrão são excelentes e é bem quentinho e aconchegante. É um óptimo casaco de Inverno. Por ser cinzento combina com tudo, sem ter o ar pesado e deprimente de um casaco preto. Adoro!
