November Plans

November is that month where it becomes acceptable to turn on the heating, to start planning for Christmas and to enjoy the cold weather.

Novembro é aquele mês em que se torna aceitável ligar o aquecimento, começar a planear o Natal e gozar o tempo frio.

Family

My cousins and I are planning on a trip to Henley on Thames to explore the village and have a pub lunch this month. We did a similar thing last year and it was so much fun! A bit of an early Christmas celebration before my cousins T&MN go off on their honeymoon and M & I go back home for Christmas.

Eu e as minhas primas e primos estamos a planear uma viagem a Henley on Thames para explorar a vila e fazer um almoço num pub. Fizemos algo semelhante no ano passado e foi bem divertido! Uma espécie de celebração de Natal antecipada antes dos primos T&MN irem de lua-de-mel, e de eu e a M irmos para Portugal para o Natal.

Events

At the end of the month I will be attending the Career Girl Academy, a one day event with workshops & talks by different entrepreneurs and women who have succeeded in their chosen careers. I am really looking forward to attending. Especially to see the blogging workshop and learn more to grow the blog!

No final do mês vou à Career Girl Academy, um evento de um dia com workshops e palestras de várias empresárias e mulheres que tiveram sucesso nas suas carreiras. Estou ansiosa. Especialmente para ver o workshop de blogging e aprender mais para fazer crescer o blog!

Bonfire Night

One of my favourite UK traditions is the celebration of Guy Fawkes Night on the 5th November (Remember, Remember). This year it luckily falls on a Saturday so I’ll be heading to a park all bundled up and carrying a hot drink (too early for mulled wine?) to watch the firework displays.

Uma das minhas tradições britânicas preferidas é a celebração da Guy Fawkes Night no dia 5 de Novembro. Por sorte este ano calha a um sábado e então tenciono ir para um parque bem agasalhada e com uma bebida quente (será cedo para mulled wine?) para ver o fogo de artifício.

Winter Wonderland

The yearly Christmas market & fair in Hyde Park opens mid November and I cannot wait to take a little walk around there and get in the Christmas spirit. I think the Social Club at work also has an event there at the end of the month, which should be really fun!

O mercado e feira de Natal que todos os anos está no Hyde Park abre em meados de Novembro e eu mal posso esperar por dar uma volta por lá e entrar no espírito de Natal. Acho que o nosso clube social no emprego vai fazer um evento lá no fim do mês, o que também deve ser giro!
