November Favourites

Don’t know about you guys, but I for one sure am glad to see the back of November 2016. I mean, I had great moments, but overall it’s been a very disappointing month what with the US election and the not knowing what is happening with the world.

Não sei quanto a vocês, mas eu cá estou ansiosa por ver Novembro de 2016 pelas costas. Quer dizer, tive bons momentos, mas no geral foi um mês de desilusões, com as eleições dos EUA e o não saber o que raio se passa com o mundo.

Despite that though, the good stuff in my life recently has luckily been very strong, so I thought I’d share my favourites with you today.

Apesar disso, tenho tido sorte e as coisas boas na minha vida têm sido muito fortes, pelo que pensei partilhar algumas das minhas preferidas convosco hoje.

Moments 

I went to Winter Wonderland with all my buddies from work and had the best time. Chatting, drinking and being silly with my friends was exactly what I needed to lift my mood and it was amazing!

Fui ao Winter Wonderland com os meus amigos do escritório e diverti-me imenso. Conversar, beber uns copos e divertir-me com os meus amigos era exactamente o que eu precisava para ficar de melhor humor e foi espectacular!

As you’ll have seen from yesterday’s post, I also had the opportunity to attend the Career Girl Academy just this past Sunday. It was a fantastic event, super inspiring and motivational. Definitely a perfect way to end the month!

Como terão visto no post de ontem, também tive a oportunidade de ir à Career Girl Academy no domingo passado. Foi um evento fantástico, super inspirador e motivador. Uma óptima forma de acabar o mês.

Family

My cousins and I went for a day in Henley earlier this month, and it was absolutely perfect. We explored, had a great lunch, caught up, laughed, enjoyed each other’s company, and were enchanted by how adorable and cute little V is. I came home absolutely full of joy, and so thankful for having these people I love so much near me.

Eu e as minhas primas e primos fomos a Henley no início do mês e foi completamente perfeito. Explorámos, almoçámos muito bem, pusemos a conversa em dia, rimo-nos, aproveitámos a companhia uns dos outros e deliciámo-nos com o V. Voltei para casa com o coração cheio e tão grata por ter estas pessoas de quem gosto tanto perto de mim.

A week later my cousins A, R and V came down to London and we spent the morning walking along the Thames. Nothing could prepare me for the cute explosion that was baby V declaring that riding the Thames Clipper (his first boat ride) was “lovely” (in a perfectly British accent no less). Seriously, what a day!!

Uma semana depois, os meus primos A, R e o V vieram a Londres e passámos a manhã a caminhar à beira-rio. Nada me podia ter para a explosão de fofice que foi o V a declarar que andar nos Thames Clippers (uma espécie de cacilheiros cá do sítio, a sua primeira viagem de barco) era “lovely” (e num perfeito sotaque britânico). A sério, que dia!!

Things

This month I finally bought a new winter coat and I am super happy with it. The Ringo coat from Sézane has a beautiful cut and a simple but stylish pattern, it’s warm and it fits really well!

Finalmente comprei um sobretudo novo e estou super satisfeita com ele. O casaco Ringo da Sézane tem um corte óptimo e um padrão simples mas com pinta, é quente e cai mesmo bem!

I am also a big fan of the Irish scarf and the low Harper boots I got from Sézane this month, they’ve been must haves in my cold weather wardrobe!

Também sou grande fã do cachecol Irish e das botas baixas Harper que comprei na Sézane este mês, têm sido essenciais no meu guarda-roupa do tempo frio!

Baking

I somehow got bitten by the baking bug, and baked something different pretty much every Sunday! I’ve been loving the feeling of making something myself and sharing it. My favourite was the Chocolate Pumpkin cake that I made and then took to work for the team!

Não sei como mas parece que fui mordida pelo bichinho da pastelaria e fiz bolos diferentes praticamente todos os domingos! Tenho adorado fazer qualquer coisa e depois partilhá-la. O meu favorito foi o bolo de Chocolate e Abóbora que fiz e levei para o escritório para partilhar com os colegas!
