Hi everyone! Hope you’re all doing well, and excited for the coming weekend. I know I am! Today I’ll be sharing a place I found recently that is great for a weekend brunch.
Bom dia a todos! Espero que estejam bem e ansiosos pelo fim-de-semana. Eu estou! Hoje partilho convosco um sítio que encontrei há pouco tempo que é óptimo para um brunch de fim-de-semana.
I found a post on Pinterest a couple of weeks ago about the new restaurant in Chiswick, No 197 Chiswick Fire Station. I decided to try it as soon as I saw the beautiful interiors: they are beyond dreamy.
Há umas semanas encontrei um post no Pinterest que falava de um novo restaurante em Chiswick, o No197 Chiswick Fire Station. Decidi experimentar assim que vi a decoração: é de sonho.
Located in Chiswick High Road (closest tube station is Turnham Green) by the police station, it is really central for this area. I was pleasantly surprised to find it wasn’t too busy! Probably best to make a booking if you’re going with more people, though.
Situado na Chiswick High Road (a estação de metro mais próxima é Turnham Green) perto da esquadra de polícia, é muito central para esta zona. Fiquei agradavelmente surpreendida por não encontrar o restaurante demasiado cheio! Será talvez melhor marcar se forem com mais pessoas.
I couldn’t resist ordering my favourite brunch dish: eggs benedict. However at 197 Chiswick Fire Station, they are a little different! Called 197 Eggs Benedict, they’re served on rustic bread (rather than English muffins) and are accompanied by avocado and spinach. The combination is divine, even if I’m not a great avocado fan. It’s filling and super tasty, I’m definitely sold on their food! The orange juice I had was also delicious, and worked really well with the eggs!
Não resisti a pedir o meu brunch preferido: Eggs Benedict. Mas são ligeiramente diferentes no 197 Chiswick Fire Station! Chamam-se 197 Eggs Benedict e são servidos em pão rústico (em vez de English Muffins) e acompanhados com abacate e espinafres. A combinação é divinal, mesmo eu não sendo grande fã de abacate. Enche muito e é super saboroso, fiquei convencida! O sumo de laranja que pedi também era óptimo e foi um óptimo acompanhamento para os ovos!
And then there’s the decor! It takes inspiration from minimalistic Scandi style, very simple but absolutely beautiful. The space is filled with beautiful lamps, pots and plants, among which several cacti. Stunning!
E depois a decoração! Com inspiração do estilo minimalista da Escandinávia, é muito simples mas lindíssima. O espaço está cheio de candeeiros muito bonitos, vasos e plantas, entre as quais vários cactos. Lindo!

O sítio parece mesmo muito agradável. Já sei onde irei tomar o meu brunch na próxima visita. Optarei por outra coisa por não ser grande apreciador de Eggs Benedict, mas lá irei.
