Last week was finally time for me to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. This is the eighth story set in the Wizarding World and was created by JK Rowling for the stage especially.
Na semana passada foi finalmente tempo de ver a peça ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’. Esta é a oitava história passada no Mundo Mágico e foi criada especialmente para o teatro por JK Rowling.
The play is split into two parts and is currently in previews at the Palace Theatre, opening officially at the end of July – I got really lucky a while back when I called the theatre asking if there were any tickets and found some for the end of June!
A peça está dividida em duas partes e está actualmente em previews no Palace Theatre, abrindo oficialmente no final de Julho – eu tive imensa sorte há umas semanas quando liguei para o teatro a perguntar se tinham bilhetes e encontrei uns para o final de Junho!
JK Rowling and the theatre company have made a really big effort to ensure people #keepthesecrets and don’t reveal any details of the plot after seeing this, so I won’t say anything about the actual content.
Tanto JK Rowling como a companhia de teatro têm feito um enorme esforço para se assegurarem que as pessoas mantenham em segredo o enredo da peça, criando inclusivamente o hashtag #keepthesecrets, portanto não vou dizer nada sobre a história.
However I will say that I massively enjoyed both parts and felt genuinely transported back to the Wizarding World I grew up with and in which I found so much comfort over the years.
No entanto acho que não estrago o mistério dizendo apenas que adorei as duas partes e que me senti verdadeiramente transportada para o Mundo Mágico com o qual cresci e onde encontrei tanto conforto ao longo dos anos.
The production is fantastic and the general organisation of the theatre is brilliant, making it such a happy experience to go watch the play. It was great as well to have the same seat on both parts – on the second day there was definitely some bonding with people sitting nearby!
A produção é fantástica e a organização do teatro é óptima, tornando toda a experiência de ver a peça numa ocasião feliz. Foi também óptimo ter o mesmo lugar para as duas partes – no segundo dia houve alguma conversa e troca de opiniões com as pessoas sentadas por perto!
The cast is amazing, brilliant fits for the characters, cannot praise them enough. Noma Dumezweni, Jamie Parker and Paul Thornley are great beyond words.
O elenco é espectacular, os actores encaixam perfeitamente nos personagens, não é possível elogiá-los demais!
And finally just one note to say how much I enjoyed the bonding with other fans while waiting to greet the actors on their way out of the theatre – HP is something that brings people together in such a happy, positive way, it’s great to see that feeling extended!
Finalmente só uma nota para dizer que adorei conversar com outros fãs enquanto esperávamos para cumprimentar os actores à saída do teatro – O mundo de HP é algo que junta as pessoas de uma forma tão feliz e positiva, é óptimo ver esse sentimento alargado!
