May was very special month, and one that’s left me feeling particularly lucky for having such a great life in a beautiful city, and a lovely family and bunch of friends to share it with!
Birthday celebrations
I’m usually more likely to have a quiet celebration of my birthday in Portugal with my family, which I love doing. But this year I ended up staying in London for my birthday and had the best time.
The weather was beautiful over the weekend, which was a great start, and a massive bonus!
On Friday we hung around at our local work pub for birthday drinks, with so many friends coming over that I hadn’t seen in a while – it was so much fun!
Then Saturday (the day itself) I met my lovely friend C who took me for brunch at The Riding House Café – a really cool place with very delicious food! And then we went around Oxford Street and did a spot of shopping (including my birthday present from my parents and godmother/uncle). On my way home I made an impromptu decision to walk across sunny, lively Hyde Park which was picture perfect – felt like I was absorbing the summer mood while walking, it made me incredibly happy!
And then, finally, on Sunday, a few of my girl friends and I went to Harry Potter Studios…which leads me to my second favourite.
Normalmente sou mais de ter um aniversário sossegado em Portugal com a minha família, coisa que adoro fazer. Mas este ano acabei por ficar em Londres para os meus anos e diverti-me imenso.
O tempo esteve fantástico ao longo do fim-de-semana dos meus anos, o que foi um óptimo começo e um enorme bónus!
Na sexta-feira fomos para o pub do costume ao pé do escritório para umas ‘birthday drinks’, com vários amigos que já não via há que tempos – foi super divertido!
Depois no sábado (o dia de anos propriamente dito) encontrei-me com a minha querida amiga C e fomos tomar um brunch no The Riding House Café – um sítio bem giro com comida óptima! Depois fomos passear por Oxford Street e fizemos umas compras (incluindo a minha prenda de anos dos meus pais e da minha madrinha e tio). A caminho de casa decidi de repente atravessar o Hyde Park que estava muito animado e cheio de sol – foi fantástico, parecia que estava quase a absorver a boa disposição enquanto andava, deixou-me mesmo feliz!
E depois, finalmente, no domingo, algumas amigas e eu fomos aos Estúdios do Harry Potter…o que me traz ao segundo favorito do mês.
Harry Potter Studios
My second visit to HP Studios was a late celebration of my birthday, and an early celebration of my friend T’s – we gathered a group of likeminded Potterheads and went over, making sure we had plenty of time to look at every detail and absorb the dreamy atmosphere.
Though I had been before there were so many new things, that I felt incredibly happy and giddy just like if it was my first time there. Plus being surrounded by friends who were just as excited (or more) made it all the better!
A minha segunda visita aos estúdios do Harry Potter foi uma celebração algo tardia dos meus anos e uma celebração antecipada dos anos da minha amiga T- juntámos um grupo de Potterheads e fomos, garantindo que tínhamos tempo mais que suficiente para ver bem cada detalhe e absorver tudo à nossa volta.
Embora já lá tivesse estado, tinham adicionado tantas coisas novas que me senti tão feliz e entusiasmada como se fosse a primeira visita. E depois, estar rodeada de amigas que estavam tão (ou mais) entusiasmadas tornou a experiência ainda melhor!

I’m absolutely loving the new shirt I bought from Sézane’s latest capsule collection, it’s really comfortable and the pattern is to die for.
Estou apaixonada pela nova camisa que comprei na última colecção cápsula da Sézane – é mesmo confortável e o padrão é de morrer.

I was looking for a lighter coloured handbag for the warmer months and this one from Sezane really caught my eye – I know their stuff is always of the best quality using the best materials, so I went for it. It is the type of leather that scratches easily with use, no matter how careful you are, but it manages to look even better like that! It’s really spacious and fits all the essentials, so it’s great for everyday!
Estava à procura de uma mala mais clara para os meses de verão e esta da Sézane chamou-me a atenção – sei que os produtos deles são sempre da melhor qualidade e com os melhores materiais, então mandei vir. É o tipo de pele que fica arranhada facilmente com o uso, mesmo que tenhamos o maior cuidado, mas fica ainda mais gira assim! É uma mala super espaçosa onde cabem todos os essenciais, portanto é excelente para o dia-a-dia!

This was my biggest and most droolworthy birthday present – I love it too much! I got the classic double flap wallet which is designed to match the very famous 2.55 Chanel bag – the leather is fantastic, the quality of the manufacturing is definitely visible and is exactly what I wanted in a small, everyday wallet.
Esta foi a minha prenda de anos maior e mais maravilhosa – estou perdida de amores! Escolhi a carteira ‘double flap’ que foi desenhada para combinar com a muito famosa mala 2.55 da Chanel – a pele é fantástica, a qualidade do fabrico é bem visível e é tudo o que eu queria numa carteira pequena para o dia-a-dia.

After watching Kate use the tiny Foreo Luna Play to massage the Oskia gel on her morning routine video, I’d decided to try doing that with my Clinique Take the day off Balm and the Foreo Mini Luna – it works beautifully and my skin has definitely been looking healthier!
Depois de ver a Kate usar o pequeníssimo Foreo Luna Play para massajar o gel da Oskia no vídeo da rotina matinal, decidi tentar o mesmo com o meu Bálsamo Clinique Take the day off e o Foreo Mini Luna – funciona lindamente e a minha pele tem estado muito mais saudável!
The Estée Edit
The newest brand to join the Estée Lauder family is aimed at a younger audience and has Kendall Jenner as a guest editor – I tried a few products when the brand launched in London exclusively in Selfridges on the 25th May and am already a convert – particularly loving the Flash Illuminator and The Barest Lip Color in ‘In the Buff’.
A mais recente marca a juntar-se à família Estée Lauder é dedicada a mulheres mais novas e tem a Kendall Jenner como guest editor – experimentei alguns dos produtos quando a marca foi lançada no Reino Unido, exclusivo do Selfridges, no dia 25 de Maio e já estou convertida – tenho adorado especialmente o Flash Illuminator em ‘Spotlight’ e o The Barest Lip Color em ‘In the buff’.
