The past month was hectic and really fun – here are my favourite things and moments!
O mês passado foi agitado e super divertido – aqui ficam as minhas coisas e os meus momentos preferidos!
‘O Homem que Inventa Setembros’ (aka Dad’s book launch)
As I mentioned in my April plans post, this month saw the launch of my dad’s first book, ‘O Homem que Inventa Setembros’, and I went back to Portugal and to my family’s hometown for the presentation. It was a wonderful gathering of family and friends, it went really well and I was (and am, always) super proud of him! What a moment!!
Como tinha dito no meu post sobre os planos de Abril, este mês foi o lançamento do primeiro livro do meu Pai, ‘O Homem que Inventa Setembros’ e fui a Portugal e à terra da minha família para a apresentação. Foi uma reunião maravilhosa de família e amigos, correu muitíssimo bem e senti-me (como sempre) super orgulhosa do meu Pai! Que momento!!
Pousada do Convento do Desagravo
For the weekend of the book launch, we stayed at the wonderful Pousada nearby, and I absolutely loved the time we spent there. Not only was it great to be away with family, but the environment at the Pousada is super cosy, the rooms are great, the view is to die for, food is delicious and the staff is lovely. A post on it will be up soon!
Para o fim-de-semana do lançamento do livro, ficámos na óptima Pousada lá perto e devo dizer que adorei o tempo que lá passámos! Não só foi óptimo passar tempo com a família, mas o ambiente na Pousada é muito acolhedor, os quartos são óptimos, a vista é lindíssima, a comida deliciosa e os funcionários simpaticíssimos. Em breve publicarei um post com mais detalhes.
Hershesons
On the last day of April I went to get my haircut at Hershesons, with the lovely Grace. I wanted to update my current style based on the haircut I saw on Sara from Harper and Harley (how beautiful does she always look!), and was beyond pleased with my experience and the result.
It was great to feel like Grace understood what I wanted, and at the same time was thoughtful about how short we could go so it didn’t look too much. And the styling tips she gave me at the end were fantastic!
No último dia de abril, fui cortar o cabelo ao salão Hershesons, com a Grace, que foi super simpática. Queria actualizar o meu corte baseado no que vi na Sara do blog Harper and Harley (que está sempre tão gira!) e fiquei muitíssimo satisfeita com o resultado e com a experiência.
Foi óptimo sentir que a Grace percebeu realmente o que eu queria fazer, mas que ao mesmo tempo teve atenção ao que podia cortar para não ser demasiado. E as dicas para pentear o cabelo que me deu no fim foram fantásticas!
Glossier Balm DotCom
Unfortunately we don’t get to try all of the Glossier range in the UK yet, but during an episode of epically dry lips I decided to order the Balm DotCom set of three from Net a Porter, and I am super glad I did.
Firstly the packaging is beautiful – I’m currently obsessing over anything pale pink – and secondly it did wonders for my lips!!
Infelizmente ainda não temos acesso a todos os produtos da marca Glossier no UK, mas durante um episódio de lábios epicamente secos, decidi encomendar o Set de três do Balm DotCom do Net a Porter, e ainda bem que o fiz! Para já, a embalagem é linda – ultimamente ando obcecada com tudo o que seja rosa claro – e depois fez maravilhas pelos meus lábios!!

The colour is beautiful and it goes on like a dream. Plus, I’ve noticed that, even after using it only once, my nails feel stronger already!

Macarons
This month I treated myself to some macarons and my love for them was re-awakened. Ladurée’s are my absolute favourites, but Pierre Marcolini does some delicious ones too!
For flavours, I am a sucker for Salted Caramel, Pistachio and Coffee. So yummy…
Este mês ofereci-me uns macarons e re-acendi o meu amor por eles.
Os meus preferidos de sempre são os da Ladurée, mas os da Pierre Marcolini também são deliciosos! No que toca a sabores, sou doida pelos de Caramelo Salgado, Pistachio e Café. Tão bom…
